    • Well, it's happening again!   Emma Long Main Loop Direction Change (CCW to CW) this coming weekend.  Next Monday (Feb 22nd) the Main Loop START will be at the north end of the parking area.  If you encounter anyone on the trail going the wrong way, kindly make them aware of the direction change.   🙂 As before, the park will be closed this weekend (Sat/Sun the 21st & 22nd) for a Trials Competition.     Spread the word! 🙂
    • So, is this place under new ownership?
    • Cranksgiving is this Saturday and the weather forecast is looking stellar with no rain in the lead up, a high in the low 80s and a gentle breeze.  The June Bugs are signed up to volunteer for the morning shift.  See y'all there.

While Austin may not be on everyone’s radar as a ride destination Austin certainly has a very deep history around mountain biking, mountain bike advocacy and trails. Both Cullen and Charlie provide some excellent stories about the history of mountain biking in the Austin Area along with what they are doing for the future of mountain biking in this region. [Joe Wieck, ARR Trail Coordinator, was supposed to be on this also, but couldn't make it].
