I like how they actually put a little sprocket up there, and spliced together two different colored chains. Then they posed it in front of that fence to make it obvious that it's not photo shop job. That's quality AFD commitment.

We used to only have to worry about getting a pant leg caught in the chain...  Now you can get your baggy shorts caught or ??? in an idler wheel....  🙂

Probably old farm route for Seawright when it was a ranch or whatever she did with it. There's plenty of old dams, walls, and crossings like that throughout the park.

That's why many non-AFD joke high pivot bikes have chain guides. And some of them have chain guides on the rear of the chain ring, forcing the chain to stay on the ring until about the 8 o'clock position.
